The works listed below represent Godowsky's original compositions. Godowsky was extremely prolific and his writings span a broad musical spectrum. A number of them are for the left hand alone. This list includes works in which Godowsky arranged his own music, for different instrumentation or pianistic setting.
A detailed analysis of Godowsky's music is currently under construction. A few of the many highlights in this section would include: Sonate in E-moll, Passacaglia, Triakontameron (the movement Alt-Wien is probably his best known work), and the Phonoramas (Java Suite).
Works are listed in roughly chronological order. The publisher abbreviations are explained in the guide to publishers.
