:
: : I was able to obtain excellent copies of Java from Carl Fischer Archive Division about 3 years ago. The price was $20 per set (4 sets in all). Fischer was planning to compile all their Godowsky into 2 or 3 thick volumes as of several years ago, but I'm not sure if they discontinued the project.

: : Regarding the Grande Sonata, a company called Musica Obscura which operates out of Quincy, Massachusetts, listed this work in their catalog (along with many other Godowsky compositions). The question is, does Musica Obscura still exist??

: I tried to contact Musica Obscura through a) Byron Hoyt, San Francisco and another shop in Vienna, Austria. No luck, it seems that the company no longer exists.

: Re. Fischer copies: I know of a shop in Cambridge, UK (Brian Jordan) who has a large assortment of Fischer archive copies - apparently, someone ordered them and did not collect them.

: Regards
: Rolf

Concerning Musica Obscura - the last address I have for them is:
PO BOX 2586,
Quincy, MA 02269
USA.
Tel:1 617 773-1947

How accurate this is now I can't say since it's a while since I had any music from them. The company is run by a very halpful chap by the name of Dr John Dowd.
Best wishes
Robert.
