: Over several years I have collected Godowsky scores and now possess as either printed originals or good photocopies most scores published after 1900. These are largely mainly from Carl Fischer or Schirmers. The only major scores I am still interested in obtaining are the Sonata of 1911, Walzermasken Books 2-4, the Prelude and Fugue for the Left Hand (BACH), the Bach Sonatas& Suites for Violin, the Suite for the Left Hand Alone (8 pices) of 1930, the C. M. von Weber Arrangements and Airs of the 18th Century. I would be delighted to hear from any fellow recipients of Godowsky Bulletin Board messages who have copies of these scores and would be willing to supply copies to me in exchange for copies of scores I hold. Looking forward to your responses. Hello Alexander Ludwig.
As a lifelong aficionado of Godowsky, I have been an assiduous collector - and performer of his utterly fascinating music. I believe I can claim that I have all his scores (apart from his songs and some "exercises") either in original editions (about half) or photo-copies. I do have facilities for scanning and sending electronically i.e. by e-mail, but clearly this is pretty onerous, so I think I would need to impose a limit. Would you like to let me know what you think? I could have a shot at sending the left hand prelude and fugue, if you like. Best wishes. Andrew Cockburn.
