It is indeed tragic when recording companies or other circumstances prevent an artist from realizing his full potential on a particular work. Certainly Madge has done other recordings that are generally admired. But, it would be more accurate to say that Madge should not be judged, not the recordings. If the recording is flawed, for whatever reason, people have a right to be warned before they spend $60.
