: A left-hand only ‘Revolutionary’ that finished a Berlin recital last year is perhaps most successful, though there are as well topsy-turvy versions of Opp. 10/1, 10/5 and the Etude in Thirds, in which the left hand assumes the original right-hand part. I somewhat obsessively adhere closely to Chopin’s own tempi in my performances, the left-hand-only etudes included, to retain their emotional character, though I refuse to perform the set complete, to retain my sanity!
