The person who wrote about Madge's Godowsky recordings is a complete idiot. Geoffrey Douglas Madge is one of the greatest intellectual virtuosos since Busoni. His championing of obscure and extremely difficult scores is phenomenal - this is hardly matched by many of today's popularly-regarded pianists, certainly not a female one(Prunyi). His complete Busoni recordings are to applauded for their stunning virtuosity and intellectual depth. So called super virtuosos like Grante and Hamelin, definately do not surpass, and I don't think even equal Madge in massive technique and interprative insight.
